Tax-day tracker
Different countries count days differently. The app counts them the way each one does.
- UK Statutory Residence Test day count (midnight rule)
- Spain with both physical days and a risk count
- Portugal's 12-month test
- US substantial presence test
- Custom jurisdiction with your own threshold
Two clocks, tracked separately
Your Schengen days and your tax days run on different clocks. Schengen uses a rolling 180-day window; tax counts use each country's own tax year and rules. DayCount EU shows both and explains the convention used for each.
Indicators, not determinations
Every status carries the reminder that other tests (home, family, centre of interests) can make you resident regardless of days. Rules we could not confirm against an official source are labelled "approximate".
