Long-stay visa and residence-permit periods
Days covered by a national visa or permit are not short-stay days. The app leaves them out.
- Add a visa or permit with the issuing country and dates
- Days in that country are excluded from your 90/180 count
- Days in other Schengen states still count
- Open-ended permits supported
How the exclusion works
The Commission's guidance says periods of stay authorised by a residence permit or a long-stay visa are not taken into account for the 90/180 calculation. DayCount EU applies that by country: a French long-stay visa removes your days in France from the count, but a weekend in Spain on the same visa still counts toward your short-stay days there.
